He roamed the higher reaches of the mountain's many routes, seeking out an exposed section of the rock face where he could test his mettle beneath the spring sun; it was warm, perhaps too warm, but Revui was invested in the task. He wanted to finally map out the entirety of the mountainside so that he'd have some tactical knowledge of every inch of the claim—whether it was practical or not.
Revui lingered near a cluster of trees near a deep-set ledge. It was large enough to support three or four wolves in every direction, a large, naturally-occuring cleave in the balding stone escarpment. It was magnificent. Around the edge there were many drop-off points that he'd have to be wary of, or trees growing at strange angles from below.
The boy shuffled along with his nose to the dirt, investigating every inch of the surface and trying to figure out if anyone else had found this place before. No scents rose to his huffing snout and so he paused, withdrawing from his hunt, feeling triumphant.
