Ok, so wash in the end and wrapping this soonish. Everyone's gotta be healed up by now in IRL time anyway, heh.

She had turned, she saw him, but she wasn't running like any sane wolf. In the last few yards he slowed so he could actually take a chomp -- he wasn't planning on trying to run her over because he didn't have the mass to do much to beyond give people a hefty shove.  Then she stepped aside -- Mal jammed his paws down into the snow to make a sharp turn to follow her, bumping into her leg, the snap of his jaws only really ending in some pulled fur.

It all moved fast.  The world beyond was a vague blur, but he was sort of aware of those beyond.  There was time for one thing at least: Guys--! was the sort of half-order, half-question and Mal's request for assistance.  This was supposed to be a pack, and he expected that Markus and the gold guy were gonna help defend it (assuming that's what the dude was there for).  They'd certainly have a bit to talk about afterwards, but hopefully it would be once everyone had to calm down.  Marcus should come help at least.

In that word, she had time to bite onto the fur near where his neck flowed towards his shoulder -- adrenaline-fueled, the pain was nothing, it was unimportant, he needed to prove a point here and he had his own teeth that could do damage.  And perhaps her decision to stay put and be clever put her in a worse position than she might have otherwise.  She was right next to him, making her within reach as he whipped towards her, looking for a similar hold -- neck, shoulder, whatever.  Hold on to her and if she kept biting him, then Markus could come in just after--!
