You and your big dumb mouth, she thought as Eljay revealed that one of the kids was missing.  Weejay sounded like a kid she could get along with, maybe, but she felt bad about bringing that up.

I totally bet he is fine, she said, picking up on Finley's line.  All my younger siblings disappeared not so long ago and it turns out they were just fine and living safely just a little ways away!  Kids could totally be resourceful like that.  Yeah, they'd had Cori n Cass with them, but she was willing to bet gettin out and to safety had been on them.  They were awesome like that.

She felt a little bolstered by that and by Finley's mention of her trade.  Okay, cool! I'm a storyteller, yeah.  I really like makin up new ones, if there's anything your kids are super into? Or Weejay?  She glanced back at Eljay, questioning.  If her brother was missing, maybe a story would do her some good.
