Okay. What she said maybe helped a tiny bit, maybe a little more honest with his smile, but it still wasn't strong. There wasn't joy or pride, or what was there was diluted. Not the light comment, mind you, that didn't really mean too much to him. Especially not when other things were hanging over his head. So he offered that smile. 

He didn't trust himself to say too much, not that he could find many words to say things right now, Yeah. No problem. He could offer that at least. A dip of his head, and he started to turn away. He'd go be a regret elsewhere, and would do so unless stopped.
