Neverwinter Forest It feels like something I know

Mal was usually a peace-loving dude. Conflict was weird and too much trouble but this was definitely a line in the sand that he'd been pushed over. People weren't allowed to attack his family, just in general. The last time someone had been attacked, he'd never found the wolf that did it -- and yet this time he had. And that wolf had attacked two in his family, one being Mal's child. There just wasn't redeeming from that. Ever. You aren't the only one. And it wasn't like he was gonna let her face down with some psycho on her own either -- the dude was big.

He watched her, wanting to make sure she wasn't going to go storming off. It was part of the reason he hadn't mentioned the location -- he couldn't chase after her the way she was, he'd make it a few yards before he had to slow down. Together meant waiting, and thankfully a shoulder was likely to heal far faster than a face. Mal hoped he'd grabbed an eye or something in the process -- again, hadn't stuck around to find out. We need to be ready, both you and me. A plan or something might help too, especially since Mal was pretty garbage at fighting from usually avoiding the whole matter. No surprises.
