He would always protect them if he was able. There was no question there, hence his prompt response, Of course. But he still felt like he was dancing around a few other things he didn't know how to word, explain, or even identify. But that was other stuff between them, and they were talking mostly about their children and he wasn't sure he wanted to swing that conversation away yet.

I don't know how to best describe it.. But like the same as my pack -- happy, good people who like who they are. I think that covers most things, he said with a bit of a laugh to it, and I'd rather not pick on the details. It's not like I have some great big ol' history to share. Or traditions or whatever. I just want them to have the love and opportunity I didn't get. Which to her might be a small thing, but it was something so very lacking for him in the past, and still colored his thoughts now.
