Bronco seemed like the sort to get all overprotective and overbearing, which was exactly what Fennec hated, as far as Phox could tell. Whatever happened, there wasn't much they could do about it now. If Fennec really had taken off, that was her decision, and she'd have to live with the consequences. So long as she was living, she could come back and live with him anytime, angsty teen vibes or otherwise.

Phox had figured that, over time, Towhee had forgiven him for getting the hell out of Dodge when he'd had the chance.
