Dawnlark Plains XV

"cle'er kid." mouthed as she picked up the pace, avoiding the two giants in a wide arc.

the wounded bull bellowed when it saw her, and diesel experienced a moment of uncertainty. 

fuck. what did she know of hunting anything bigger than a wolverine? the thing had a neck thick as a tree trunk, and a build bulging with strength. she pondered as she trotted around, to unnerve it and give herself time to think... 

and decided no problem couldn't be solved by charging at it.

from the angle where she could see the weak spot, diesel bounded straight at the thing, barking; but the bison met her head on.

in a show of courage from the bull and blind stubbornness from the mastiff, their heads met, the dog of course being sent back, briefly parting from the ground.

she rolled, and attempted to stand. difficult to do with the way the very sky seemed to be slipping away from her vision.

fuck.

diesel stood, wide stance, head swaying still. the bison had a twin, then was tripled, and the mastiff snarled at them all equally.
