Redtail Rise huntsman

She seemed nice but Ashlar was still nervous enough to stumble over the introduction. Hi, I'm-m... my name's Ashlar. He winced at needing to restart, but smiled and gave a small wave of his tail as well. He didn't mind that she came near and took his scent - her demeanor clearly said that she did not mean to threaten. He wondered what her name was and where she came from, but would not have been surprised to find her as silent as the silent one. They called him Augur, but what would they call her? Did she have a preference?

He certainly couldn't name her, but for now he thought of her as the kind one. It might be a misnomer, but she'd deferred even to him... something he would never ask and that, usually, did not occur. It was partially this that had thrown him. He hoped that it was true, and thought it might be. Augur deserved one who was kind.
