Ashlar's insecurity still warred with his friendly nature, but as usual, the latter won out. Her invitation was clear and despite worrying about being a bother, declining felt wrong. He took a few steps, tail wagging, and smiled. He was fine letting her lead and did not want to derail her day with his own aims. He didn't have any that were important.
