Every emotion every thought, it was nothing. Blank paper with no pen. Motionless he stood and stared out over the water. But slowly his thoughts filtered in and one after another, he saw the pain, the heartache. HE heard the cries. They were there screaming, filling his head, and all he felt was her lies. She had lied, imperator had lied. And maybe nothing had happened, but something would have happened if the cat hadn't shown up.
