Maia thought of her own previous encounters with strangers and suppressed a shiver. There was no need to bring actual danger into this - she sounded harmless, but certainly strange.

Hags are probably safer to trade with than faeries though, so good choice there. They won’t try to trick you so they get more and you get less. They’ll just ask you for something terrible right off the bat.
