He approached the border slowly, with great care. He called for @Sialuk in the same fashion, knowing she might send a deputy to deal with his song given her status as a mother.
Brecheliant could wait. His half-siblings were grown; they didn't need his guidance.
His children did.
Killdeer lingered around the edges of the great mountain, waiting for someone to receive him. He even happened upon a rabbit's den, and snared a female hare. Whenever he was greeted, he would have food to share.
He intended to stay, as a father. Loyally. Purposefully.
