Simeon's eagerness was music to his ears, and he laughed, nodding. 

You bet, he promised the boy. She'll be super excited to see you, too, I'm sure.

But as he contemplated logistics, he wondered—would Simeon accept his olive branch to Moonspear? Or now, with the revelation (to one of them, at least) that Towhee was alive, would he choose to dwell with his grandmother at the Copse, instead?

Killdeer selfishly wished for the former—but he knew he had to make peace with the latter, too.
