osiel’s here. soto rather wishes he wasn’t. 

his venom charges the air as he pushes past soft-eyed leto. it’s not long before he speaks, first to saya and then to soto;

again, soto rather wishes he hadn’t. 

he grunts in response, realizing one more crowds the edge of their gathering - a face he knows is osiel’s man. 

to saya, there is nothing to say. she has failed him terribly; soto is a careful man, but he is not without emotion. futile anger bubbles within him. 

she would be worth much less dead, though. soto turns from the cave without word, hauling la bruja back to where saya stood. he snarls and motions for the witch to set to work, meanwhile knowing that osiel will return when his temper is leveled, and only then will retribution be meted out. 

soto says nothing more as he shoulders past leto and hiro, leaving them all in the fine company of qiao as she begins examining the newest victim of cartel stupidity.
