two boys roughened by the dust of the road. one carrying the faint heat of infection.

soto watches as they lurk near the bank, one supping the still-water. speaking. neither of them paying mind to their surroundings.

youth or naïveté? he crosses their periphery at twenty meters and lowers himself to the water, drinking in deep draughts as he cleanses the dust and the heat of the desert from his throat with one ear trained towards them.

mature themes: conflict heavy & themes of violence, sexuality, and substance abuse. (3-3-3). please let me know if ur comfort has been surpassed. <3
