Today was different than most days. Jakoul commonly haunted the borders but today she ventured deeper into the territory she called home. It was time for her to become more acquainted with the land. She could only hide in the roots of trees on the border for so long. Somewhere deep inside, she knew it was not safe either. She was no hulking beast to be a line of defense. She would be vulnerable to any built loner or ravenous beast.

Maybe she would find a new place to haunt.
