Takiyok was borne up between the two wolves, and while Stag offered his shoulder he noticed how tired -- how bedraggled -- his mother truly looked.
He fretted the entire trip to the den; once they made it there, he pressed his muzzle to Takiyok fondly and then departed, off to hunt or find food for his dam; whatever he caught, he would bring back to her -- happy that at last, his mother was finally home.
