When she was ignored for a second, Maia felt herself internally shrink a bit.  She figured that Ibis didn't mean anything by it, but she was suddenly horribly worried she was bothering her.  Especially because she was looking for her daughter.  Maia read the sigh as annoyance and couldn't help but expound that feeling a little.
