Two of her girls were home safe. Maia was relieved beyond words when she got the news, but as much as she wanted to do nothing more than hover over them both, she had things to take care of as well. That morning she was on her way back to check on them both when she saw Ceridwen out and about.

There was certainly a strange sense of being unsure what to say. Should she tell her how much they’d missed her? How glad she was to see her home? Maia’s smile trembled a bit, but instead she took a small step to close the gap.
