Set for tomorrow afternoon (1/29)
This time away from home was doing him good, Phox thought. He still hadn't decided what, exactly, he was going to do when he returned, but being away from it did help him cool off. He was meandering through the moors, letting his brain and emotions take a rest, when a peculiar bird (a gull of some sort) began to follow him. He actually wasn't sure how long the little bugger had been following him.
Phox let it follow him for a little while, then he spun around and growled at it, watching as it fluttered away. Snorting, he returned to his meandering, letting his paws take him gradually south. A few minutes later, he spotted the damn thing again. This time it was squwaking at him. Mocking him! Over and over, she yelled "keek!" at him in her raspy voice.
Scoffing, Phox jogged away from her, ears slicked back in mild annoyance. But wherever he went, the damn thing followed him, keeking at him. He'd chase her off, then she'd flutter back only a few minutes later, annoying the ever-loving-butts out of him.

hope you don't mind two! rolled for success in discord
Her mood is dampened by their growing distance from the ocean, but she tries not to sulk for @Sarthorn's sake. They'd found little of value along the coast, few places to shelter and fewer wolves besides themselves. Nesini is determined to try again, further down the coast, but for now they are forced inland. At first, she doesn't see the wolf in the distance playing tag with a gull. Her gaze sweeps around the area as she and her brother rise to the peak of a hill, until she notices Sarthorn is distracted. Then her eyes follow his, and a frown tugs at her features. She laughs after a moment, gaze flitting over to meet Sarthorn's just before she takes off running toward the figure.
You trying to kill that, or marry it?She calls breathlessly as she runs, changing course for the bird as she draws nearer. The stupid thing seems rather focused on the dark stranger. It notices her, but too late, and her jaws close around one of the wings before it can fly out of her reach. She makes short work of the tiny thing, and turns to look at the other wolf with an expectant expression, the bird dangling from her jaws — waiting for an answer to her question.

After their adventuring of Coconut Grove, Nesini and Sarthorn make the decision to tread closer inland. It isn’t far from the ocean by any means, and thus, the comfort of salty sea air sticks. The sand turns to grass, and eventually, rolling hills.
On crest of one such hill, Sarthorn can barely pinpoint the beginning of a blurred treeline. It is from this vantage point he spots the humorous duo—a wolf and a gull. At first, he is expecting a hunt to commence, but the longer the dance goes on, the more it appears to be an adoption process.
Sarthorn arches an eyebrow, glancing towards Nesini.
Typically Sarthorn leaves interacting with others to her, and acts akin to a doting bodyguard of sorts. As if on cue, Nesini descends. Sarthorn follows. It is with swift motion that she takes care of the annoyance, not without first commenting on the strange, short-lived wolf-gull duo. RIP potential marriage. Hello snack.

Much later, it would occur to Phox that he should have used the bird's insistence on following him to bring it back home. It likely would have followed him back to Fennec, where they may have been able to train it as Towhee had done with X. Instead, Phox thought nothing of it, watching as the stranger snapped up the black-headed gull and proceeded to hold onto its wing. In a different time, Phox probably would have pounced on the opportunity to talk with others outside his pack. He probably should have been doing that now, but all he could do was muster up a,
Phox told himself that he should probably make small talk, but even that seems difficult.
Not particularly hungry.

I'm not intruding, am I?he asked, wondering if perhaps this place was on its way to becoming somebody's home. He certainly didn't want to be the cause of a rift between the Firebirds and some other pack, and he'd quickly be on his way if these two wanted him gone. Judging by their body language, they were quite comfortable with one another.
