Dakarai continued their introductions, further explaining the value they would could offer the wolves of Moonspear. Olive listened, though he attention was diverted elsewhere — the fae could not tear her emerald gaze from the shadowed wolfess before them and Olive worked to scry whatever she could from the woman’s face and demeanor. So much hung in the balance at that very moment, and the mother founds herself experiencing some serious anxiety over Amekaze’s final verdict of them. Gently, she swallowed to relieve the tightness of her throat. 

No. They were good pack members, no matter what Arturo and his gang of criminals thought about it. This was certaintly the end of their affliction, Olive was sure. She had said it many times before, willing it to become true, but it never did. But now, if the wolves of Moonspear accepted the revenant quartet into their ranks, they would behave and pull their weight. If Aries and Cassiopeia could be given a stable childhood, they would grow to be productive pack members as well. If she could rededicate herself to her study and to the gods, certainly they would not feel the need to knock her family about. If they would only be accepted, everything would be rosy-colored and fine. if, if, if…

Then, just like that, it came true! The druid could hardly contain her pleasure. A grin ignited upon her fine features and she turned to the dark knight to see his reaction. The stars bade her to go north and she heeded their call, and now they were being rewarded for their accordance. Her tail beat a furious verse against her mate; her entire mien felt lighter and brighter than it had in a long time. “Thank you,” she chirped brightly, trying to hide her enthusiasm and failing with a giggle. She turned her head from Amekaze to the nameless shadow at her side.  “Oh, thank you!” Olive said to the silent one, certain that her opinion was of some value in this matter. With a relieved huff, the tiny fae gathered her babes against her and Dakarai’s yin-and-yang forms.  “Our family will not disappoint you or the king,” Olive murmured as she nuzzled her face into their wriggling bodies, hoping to share with her babies some of the hope and positivity that she, for a but a moment, radiated freely.
