Duskfire Glacier Are we growing up or just going down?

The malguk sat in front of the meltwater lake, too sore and tired to do much. She had managed a short patrol this morning, but it was nothing close to what she normally did. The wounds on her neck still throbbed and her muscles ached. @Tahani had addressed her injuries the night before, but they still hurt when she moved and probably would for a while. 

She knew she had messed up, and her brother's disappointment was deserved, but that didn't mean it felt any better. She planned to just keep low for a while and go about her duties until things calmed down a bit. Deep down, she still felt justified in going after the girl. She couldn't help it. No one could be allowed to get away with hurting her family. So, even though she felt like complete shit inside and out, part of her would always feel like it was worth it. She let out a dejected sigh as she watched the water, her thoughts continuing to war with each other about whether or not she should have done what she did.
