All Welcome
@Vonnaruil babysitting thread maybe? Bumped up a couple vague days.

One second, Dragomir was a breast-stroking frog in a large pond limned with sunset orange, and the next he was a breast-stroking wolf pup ineffectually stirring the dirt beneath him with uneven kicks of his legs. He was pretty good at getting around by now, but sometimes he confounded himself and ended up stranded. He had his limbs held out at his sides, where they weren't strong enough to support his weight, and was floundering around on the pudge of his baby belly. If he could only swing his legs out in front of him once more, he could get enough of a grip to pull himself forward... but that was too much coordination, so he flailed in place and loudly grouched instead.

bumping up to present, woops
a/n: eyes have opened & puppies began to walk, etc

He'd returned later in the day, after he'd returned from his visit to Easthollow on Aure's behalf -- and in good time, too, as it seemed his sister had been on her way to head on out. "Your mama calls you dragón, no?" A wry drawl replied to the mauvey babe's grouching, who strained and flailed about on that berry-pudgy belly of his, as if he were una rana.

At least it seemed that Dragomir wished to fight out from his own quagmires; not one to let his wants to go without a good grapple. "Do not worry, sobrino. Once you can truly walk, you may run towards your dreams as much as you'd like." So the little babe didn't continue to struggle as he did, Vonnaruil rose from his own lounging and up onto his side, and knelt towards Dragomir to nuzzle the boy reassuringly.

Just kidding, he was perfectly capable of not only standing, but toddling unsteadily along. Fooled you, Vonn. He demonstrated it by finally coordinating his legs enough to ratchet his puppy bulk up, and then he sought his uncle's face with a bleary-eyed smile, seeking praise. Vercingetorix was always so delighted when he stood up like this, and Aure as well. Dragomir had come to expect praise from them. This man smelled very unlike his mom but looked very much like her, confusing his senses for a little while so that he wavered between thinking Vonn was Aure and thinking he was not. Eventually smell won out, so Dragomir was more hesitant about it, but sought his approval all the same.

With the brush of Vonn's muzzle over him, Dragomir's engine seemed to come to life; suddenly he was careening around on legs that could propel him forward, but lacked the coordination to keep his course straight. A steep turn to the left was accompanied by a giggle, then a gasp as Dragomir overcorrected and fell right over onto his right side.
