praimfaya knows now that she's pregnant; and thankfully the sickness that had plagued her the first couple of weeks was gone. still, the progression brings with it new symptoms that aren't necessarily any more comfortable than the sickness. the swelling and tenderness of places that the commander wasn't aware she could be swollen and tender — and the tell-tale swell of her sides.
and the swooping feeling she sometimes feels; leaving her breathless. the cubs moving, perhaps?
still, she cannot help but marvel over it all: that she was capable of creating and nurturing life ...it was incredible. terrifying, to some extent, but incredible.
she walks the borders, slower than before; mindful of the life growing within her as it wars with her intense ( perhaps maternal ) instinct to mark and protect her's. her pack, her children.
