aditya bent down to sniff at the water, cool but still. late-day sun shimmered over its surface, and he craned his neck to look for the source. he could only find tiny rivulets of water over stone, presumably from the glacier.

he was cut off by the sudden emergence of a frog, leaping into the water from somewhere near his left side. the splash spattered his muzzle, and he shook his head, laughing slightly.
