he seeks the man immediately. each step he takes is a war-drummer's climaxing march. he reminds himself to breathe. to remain cold despite the molten fury flowing through him.

Head turns, eyes settle on the python. There are no words as he waits for his orders.

Now he certainly does not expect much. He loves Leto deeply, but he knows well that she is not one to think into much of anything. Not from what he's seen, at least. It only makes her more endearing.

He wonders if she knows whether or not she is expecting yet, wonders how long it will be.

At the mention of a father, Beau stiffens momentarily. Why was he the one Leto wished to escort her father to Verapaz? He had no clue that she had a father in the Teekons in the first place! Do neither Soto nor Leto know what father's do to men who lay with their unmarried daughters?

He let's out a breath. This is not the convent his aunt lived with. It may be his example of what father's should be, but he's always known that to be rather silly.

Surely Leto is sending him because of his charm; she wants him to win the man over.

With a chuff, he nods. Eso suena bastante fácil. He will go, and he will return with her father before the birth. He is sure.

He wants to outdo the other man she has laid with, to prove that he is far more worthy of her affection. He wonders if this may be his ticket.

soto has his own opinions of fathers, and how drawing leto's might change the landscape of verapaz.

but he is nothing if not resourceful. clever. resilient. leto's father can be put to work minding the cubs and running small errands, while verapaz's ranks swell.

he turns back to beau with a nod. es facil. simple. his single eye flashes as he calculates how long beau will be gone.
