Age told her that soon, the leaves would begin to shift in color. The rains were heavy—precarious, at best, given the stream’s flooding, but she knew that now was the time to decide. It was dangerous to travel now, surely, but when the leaves would fall and the rain would change to snow, it could be near impossible should the weather upkeep its heinous pattern.
So she traversed the mountain. There had been an inkling to rediscover Phoenix Maplewood. To try to fit the pieces of muddled puzzle from her childhood and what Morningside had meant to her, but instead, she chose to let go of those ghosts for now. She wanted across the mountain. Perhaps nothing of use lay over there—or, perhaps, it was where she could finally begin to build her life anew. She wouldn’t know until she tried.
The silver arrow flitted across the safer paths of the mountain. As she had left earlier, she would have plenty of time to explore and ensure her safety. Hopefully, along the way as she sought the valleys on the other side, she would also have time to satiate her curiosity as well.

Traveling with
Healed, she longed to show Lunaria her new home. Their breif pause, a few days really, in the fox hollow, had refreshed the Priestess.
Soon, the spirits murmured. Soon the rains will end. Soon the lessons will be learned.
Macaria would be lying if she didn't hold a sense of relief, if this were truly the case. Of course the spirits fell silent each time she pleaded to know exactly how soon. Even a high Priestess couldn't be having all the answers, it seemed.
The mountains further towards the coast were treacherous.
And as she traversed these treacherous paths, she became aware there was another here, her scent barely detectable among the torrential rain and sliding debris. Macaria blinked up at the rain, and released a howl, a call of loneliness and summoning.
perhaps her fellow traveler would answer.

Ugh, Vulture felt like her back was cracking. She definitely chose the wrong path on going to the mountains, but as she was stubborn as a bird, had no intention to slink back to her darling siblings. They were definitely causing some kind of trouble in the valley, and she must bring back her own stories!
Then a pretty lady came to view. Being a slick, ladies-woman, she licked her paw and slicked whatever hair she had on her head back. Sashayed right over, to this beautiful autumn-like wolf, and gave a cool-like, "Hey there honey," and a sexy eye-brow raise.
"Oh, you hear that call?" Then got distracted by a howl.
