Mature Content Warning

This thread has been marked as mature. By reading and/or participating in this thread, you acknowledge that you are of age or have permission from your parents to do so.

The participants have indicated the following reason(s) for this warning: vulgar language, sexual themes

svalla, while furious, did not storm from darukaal's grounds. instead, she struts. tail risen and curled with seductive intent. footsteps calculated, purposeful.

faust wished to lay with that whore? so be it. she would simply find someone to warm her bed. to soothe the ache in her chest—the one she would not acknowledge. because if she did, wouldn't he win?

that would not do. she would lay with whomever she could wrap around her finger, spend the night in their grasp, only to leave and return to faust. smelling of a different man, wearing the perfume spawned from their pleasure.

but she was a woman of high regard; she would not chase. she would let them come to her. and so, she sat aways from the border of darukaal. eyes searching for a man worthy of her time.

lorcan did not know what lured him out into the night cold. his mind was heavy, blistering with thoughts of plenty. he was concerned; concerned for elowen. he did not wish to bring about her ruin. at the same time, he knew he shouldn't care. he had never been a man who cared.

this was not him. he did not like what he was becoming under her influence. still, she was his responsibility. he could not cast her aside.

or could he?

this question came fast and violently when his eyes laid upon the woman who traipsed before him. tail curled in a high arc above her pelvis, purpose intent to let her scent bleed across the plains at the foot of the peak. lorcan felt the familiar urges grumble to life in his stomach; he slowly approaches from atop the foothill, a growl vibrating off his tongue.

his slow waltz picks up into a generous striding, muscled legs carrying him with ease after her. coming close enough to grow high off of her strong, feminine scent; nostrils flaring hungrily. his teeth snap, to graze upon her tail.

come here. he goads.

what ayovi wished, skorpa brought. he scoured the hills now for pinewood, for fresh spruce over which he might lie plush pelts for her ease. he did not care for the politics in the plains below, though they had been relayed to his wife all the same.

such a bundle was notched to heavy shoulders, and skorpa began to lumber in the direction of where he had left her.

soon they would return.

presence close. ragged ears flicked.

he came upon shadow and snow just in time to see first grab at second's tail in a manner skorpa chose to interpret as flirtatious. he was not a man to interfere with any other's interlude, but there was more to address.

a step and another until he was on open approach. skorpa caught darukaal's clear icemelt fragrance and stood gruff, eyes flicking between each. "this will break peace." elowen was a woman of the mountain. darukaal upsetting her would not do.

she grew his children. lorcan must control himself.

To a wolf’s nose, there was no scent stronger than a bitch in standing heat.

The air, spiced with a strange woman’s smell, traveled across Nova Peak on Spring’s breeze.

It was a threat to Cloud Dancer’s litter.

Moon Runner’s hackles prickled as she, grumbling, quickly skulked through the mountainous forest.

Grim Tooth and the dark male stood before a pale, scar-faced vagrant.

They waste time! Moon Runner’s spirit roared.

Snarling, sharp-toothed, and narrow-eyed, Moon Runner launched herself into a flat sprint across the still-frozen ground towards the quorum… eyes set on the female with aggressive intent. She would be driven out.

Wealda. Wealda. Wealda.
You died in the end, but you fought first

cameo!

She would have been sleeping. But Skorpa was gone, and true rest can never find her outside the cradle of his arms. Every rustle and creak causes ears to prime as she waits for him in their den. But he does not come, and the wind brings voices—
Down in the foothills there's a commotion. Stirring, Ayovi is witness to the fray: to Lorcan’s driving and the stranger woman’s glacial scent. To Skorpa’s voice, and Nemage’s furious lunge.
The huntress does not stop her sister. Her own tail flags streaking harshly as she turns, retreating from the mount.
Heading for the glacier.

her scent had lured her victim—a strong and dark man. striking and handsome with the allure of dangerous pleasure. her judgmental gaze bore down upon him, assessing. he would do for the night.

but before she could join his side, there was another. with a scent putrid that left an acrid taste in her mouth. speaking to the man she wished to lay with—he had a woman, then. had already claimed another.

svalla did not care. it did not sway her decision; she wasn't seeking a mate. they would simply lie together and she would return to faust to gloat.

but she noticed the hesitation in the dark man who heeded her sirens call. a guilt, obvious and annoying. her lips curl and she scoffs. he would not succeed; but it did not matter. she would find another.

there's a puny woman barreling towards them with violent intent. if svalla was not eager to win this game of hers, she would have met her with strength and wrath forged from her wildling days.

but alas, all of this had proven to be a waste of her fucking time. and so, she leaves with a sneer, tail waving as a flag as she departed back toward darukaal, to stalk during the night for another man.
if it wasn't for you meddling kids...exit svalla!

a shame that his fun had been cut short. but it was the presence of skorpa that was sobering, and he reels back swiftly, watching with eyes the flighty demeanor of the pale woman.
swiveling slowly to cast eyes upon skorpa, then moon runner who pursued in hostile chase. a wry smirk drawn upon him then, at her eagerness to defend.
good, he thought. that was good.
lorcan offers skorpa a parting glance before he slowly lopes away, tail lashing calmly at his hocks. a yawn stretching jaws open. he was tired anyhow.
and content to sleep to ignore the hot shame that burned up his neck.

silentsnow flashed past, a swordlight of snow in punishing pursuit of a woman who should never have come. skorpa made no move to stop her, and in fact stood pleasantly aside as she pounded out on swift paws.

watching the darukaal woman retreat and the mountainwolf drive down, the bearman cleared his throat. "you have woman with child inside. do not lose her for being fool." his shoulders softened. "the gods bless. they give. but they take too."

burning eyes turned toward the man. "they give to you, lorcan. keep favor with gods."

skorpa moved now. his own settlehearth called.

Moon Runner ran like the wind and thundered past the two men in pursuit of the interloper.

She growled. Snarled.

The scared-face woman turned and ran, yet kept her tail flagged high audaciously.

Moon Runner slowed only after the stranger had been driven far from Nova Peak’s borders, nostrils flaring like an incensed bull.

Who am I? The spirit asked itself.

Treow?

Or more?
