Forward-dated like a day, maybe? Or at least some time after the Grezig x Seamus x Ibis thread. Grezig and Ibis need to meet! @Cerulean
It was snowing this morning, though not very hard, for which Grezig was grateful. Her thick winter coat kept out enough of the cold, but that didn’t mean she enjoyed it. Besides, snow was also wet, which was one hundred times worse than being simply cold. Most of her was kept dry-ish, for her outer coat kept the wet out, but her paws and legs were usually frozen and she had to watch where she stepped. She shook her head, going back to the task at hand. She’d woken up that morning with an agenda: to meet her leader, Ibis. She’d been in the pack for a few weeks now and still hadn’t really officially met the young woman, which she needed to rectify. It felt wrong being here with Kavik’s permission only when there were at least two other leaders of Uaine Gorsedd. She tilted her head back and howled for the girl, wondering how this meeting would go.

The call brought her out of her thoughts, and as it died in the air Ibis deviated from the lazy patrol she had been doing. The snow flurries were beautiful, and she wanted to spend more time witnessing the white-out of the forest, but duty called. It wasn't difficult to cross along the many paths to find the wolf, and when she did she slowed.
Like everyone else, this wolf was bulky and at least twice her size. Ibis stowed the feeling of intimidation she felt coming from the stranger, presuming it was her own doubt being projected, and sauntered closer.

Hello, she greets with a wave of her tail behind her. A small friendly smile appears on her face; this deepens when Ibis notices the fresh scent of her pack upon the other woman.
Welcome to the Emberwood.

sorry this is stupidly late
Grezig inclined her head in Ibis’ direction when she arrived. “Thank you,” she said. She looked around awkwardly, wondering what to talk about now that she had the leader here. “I am Grezig, in case you… did not yet know my name. I was accepted into the pack by Kavik; we have known each other for a long time now.” Grezig stopped there, unsure of what else to say about herself. “I wanted to officially meet you, since you are the alpha here—the Archdruid, as you call it.” Grezig tried to not to roll her eyes in Ibis’ presence at such a ridiculous rank title.

Ah, that all made sense. Ibis smiled as she listened - wondering to herself just how long they had known Kavik. Would they have interesting tales of Swiftcurrent Creek? Perhaps they knew Star too. She could have asked but was more enamoured by the concept of two long-lost-friends reconnecting. That appeared to be the purpose of her little collective; little by little Ibis had gathered lost souls, some who were siblings and many who were strange to one another, so knowing that Grezig was here because of Kavik of all people filled her with glee.
Yes, that would be me.She smiles, her tail waving.
I assume Kavik has shown you around? If not, I can help with that. The forest is pretty big - at least to me,with a small chuckle Ibis looks at the dirt at her feet, feeling very small all of a sudden. It didn't help that Grezig was yet another giant by comparison.

Sorry for the delay again. I’ve been slow overall because I’ve had a lot of homework the past two-ish weeks and all my free time is going to video games rn.
’I assume Kavik has shown you around?’ Ibis asked.
“He has,” Grezig confirmed with a short nod.
Then the archdruid chuckled and looked down at her paws. Grezig tilted her head curiously. “What is it?” she asked, wondering what was funny or… not funny. She couldn’t tell what Ibis was feeling. Laughing usually meant something was funny, but looking down was… an indication of something being wrong. Grezig wasn’t big on emotions but she wasn’t so tactless that she would leave an upset wolf to their own devices without offering to help in some way.

That's fine! :)
The woman was a bit obtuse, but that only made Ibis smile a little bit more. It was a bit comical to her that something so obvious to herself was not-so-obvious; she shrugs, and explains by stating,
I mean everything is big to me, I've always been tiny. Maybe that's why the forest seems so immense to me.And why she didn't think she'd ever see the entirety of it, no matter how often she patrolled.
It probably isn't so special for you - I, I don't mean to say that you're big in a bad way, but you -- and most of the wolves that live here -- are giants by comparison. Especially Kavik, now that I think about it...She was rambling a bit as the awkwardness she felt took over, most likely showing off her age and general immaturity.
