It was a race against time and she knew it.
She made her way to their southwards neighbor, For once not carrying the pompousness and poise she usually did.
This was not a time for bragging or raising hell.
It had been so long since the incident with the trespassing shewolf she had forgotten their scent- something that hopefully wouldn't come back to haunt her.
She toed the line of the border, not daring to cross it. This was a large, well marked pack. If she could swing them in her favor, it would be a blessing.
With a deep breath, she called, Announcing her presence and asking for audience.

Her strength had mostly returned, along with the weight. She was almost back to her pre-sickness self, so much so that anyone who didn't know her wouldn't know that she had been so ill just months ago. So patrolling was something she had started doing more frequently. As usual, there was no marking of the borders, just a check along the perimeter to make sure everything was normal.
The call made her pause for only a second before she quickly began to make her way in the direction from which it had come. She was not very far from where the stranger hung just outside the borders, and so she made it to her fairly quickly.
She stopped in front of her, fixing her with the shrewd gaze she usually gave strange wolves on the borders. At least this one had called for an audience.

You stand on the borders of Sagtannet,Taki said first.
What is your business here? She was unsure if @Mahler was on his way, but she would wait to call him until she was sure what this woman needed. No need to bother him or @Wylla unnecessarily; they had enough to deal with already.

A shewolf, a bit thin but obviously well enough put together that she was on the border.
She gave a wave of her tail, inclining her head in greeting.
Ok, Nem. Think fast. How would Darling charm them?
She draws herself up, a quiet, carefully controlled confidence.
"I was hoping to speak to your first or second in command, or if they aren't available, whoever is overseeing their duties." Ok. Good. Good start...unless she happened to insult the shewolf by asking for her superior. Ugh, no wonder she usually left matters of Diplomatic Arrangements to Donovan.
"My pack is setting up in Redsand Canyon. We thought it best we be on good terms with our closest neighbors."
