All Welcome
Ajei had been mostly quiet in her mivements of the packlands. There was much going on. She had wanted to go with moonwoman. But her own mother kept her back. Not on purpose. In fact Shikoba would have supported her daughter, but Ajei saw.

She saw how her mother slept later sometimes. How she walked in pain. How her muzzle had begun to grey. And it worried her. She had known her mother was an older mother. But now she saw it intimately and it scared her so much. Shikoba was her safe space, love incarnate. The woman she strived to be like,  to make her proud.

Ajei settled by the river. The trees billowing in the wind. There was still a sharp bite to it, but there was the scent of spring on the end. She closed her eyes and let the wind brush the tufts of white cheek. The sun dipped down across fiery head. She wasn't ready.

The weeks since Cirilla's return to Moonglow had passed by peacefully, and she took her time reaquainting herself with the village. She found it as warm and welcoming as she remembered, and there was real hope at the heart of her that she would find contentment among the sunshine wolves.

Kukutux had gone off into the lowlands and not yet returned. The swallow did not worry, though there were days when she'd wished for the Moonwoman's company. Ciri ventured in search of another to share her time with, and her path met a yearling at the river's edge. Hey, she greeted with a smile, mind if I join you?

Ajei had scented the wolf Ciri back in the pack lands. As of yet, she hadn't sought her out. She knew she would be welcomed back warmly, as the wolves of moonglow always did. And she reminded herself to make sure she did as well.

Green eyes popped open at the sudden voice. A kind smile and a dip of downy head were offered.

Not at all. Please.

She shifted to make room.

The girl looked her way, and shifted to signal that the space beside her was free. Ciri's eyes glittered, warmed by her easy acceptance, and moved to settle alongside her. Thanks, she said, yellow eyes seeking the young she-wolf's face, I'm Ciri.

Ajei smiled sweetly. You're welcome. It is Ciri, correct?

Ajei shifted again and looked around. She felt the air for any taste of anything interesting and then turned green eyes back to her companion.

Did you have many adventures? See many things?
