His chest aches with sympathy at Outlander's response, and he takes a step forward before he realizes what he's doing. He hesitates for a beat — but what's the worst that could happen, really? So, still a little hesitant, he presses his nose gently to Outlander's shoulder if the touch is allowed. It's a brief gesture, but he hopes it helps a little.
