It seemed he had some sense and started to flee.  Eventually.  What an oblivious creature, though!  It wasn't like he was just inside the borders either -- she would have plenty of room to toy with him until she decided what to actually do about it.  Nobody was here this time to tell her to stop, so the decision was all hers.  But what fate should he be given?

For whatever bizarre reason he stayed in the water, so Treason stuck to the shore where she could move faster and catch up, aiming to eventually pass him.  Every time he floundered and failed a step, Treason would gain extra distance.  It was cold enough that going through the water was somewhat unpleasant, but not deadly.  Usually.  That was about when she had an idea.  Of course, she knew the territory fairly well, so she knew she had the ability to possibly cut him off downstream, especially if he half-drowned himself in a deep spot.

Putting on a burst of speed, she jumped into the water past the deep point, snarling as she did so.  What Treason needed was another person to show up and help.  This guy was scrawny enough that he might be able to outrun her if he got out onto solid ground, and she wasn't keen on letting him go without taking her potentially literal pound of flesh.  Could she get him to stay put, to stay in one place while the moving water sapped his energy and slowly froze him?  It would make him so much easier to deal with.
