Sun Mote Copse say you'll stay with me tonight

He seemed to have trouble answering, but that didn't bother Maia.  She did kinda put him on the spot after all, but hey, that's what friends were for!! Keepin things interesting.

She had formulated a couple guesses for him.  To reach the moon from his mountain, maybe, or to lead his pack forever.  Maybe to fly, or maybe because he seemed like the type, to be the most honorable and courageous knight in his own story.  Or, maybe like her real one, it was to have his family back.

None of her guesses came even close to what came out of his mouth, and she stopped and stared at him a moment.  Then she laughed, because she couldn't help it.  He'd taken her completely by surprise, and she couldn't fathom why he'd want to spend his one wish on that.  You only get one!  Why would you wanna spend it on me?  She replied teasingly.
