How best to christen this new-found vista than with a brawl? The young man felt invigorated by his discovery and swelled with pride, eager to share the secret of this plateau with those closest to him — Arcturus, Hydra, perhaps Speedy if he could get over his bias — but it was none of these wolves that met his gaze. Revui spotted Dirge and lost a bit of his enthusiasm; he saw this man as a fixture upon the mountain as assured as the rest of them, but he was not one of them. Hydra held him in esteem and so Revui accepted him to some degree, but Revui would always be xenophobic.
At best, Dirge was a worthy adversary. So when he rounded upon the man's position he huffed and crooned with bestial notes, calling him forth with gutteral sounds as easily as he did with the curve of his body — defensive in posture, then ducking in to a play-bow that didn't look right (perhaps because he looked so hefty in his adult size). He repeated the process a few times, encroaching on Dirge's space little by little, impatient and hoping he'd take the invitation for what it was - a peace offering of sorts.
