Maia was ever the optimist, but as she traveled, she was beginning to lose faith that she'd find any sort of good news for Eljay. She'd seen nor heard no sign of Elfie or Weejay.  She'd wanted to badly to bring him good news, but instead she was just going to bring more disappointment.  She wanted to go home, but that thought kept her out.  Jeeze this was terrible.

At least it was a pretty day?  She squinted at the mountains before heading into the trees.  Northeast... okay.  Yeah she hadn't checked this way!  Maybe crossing the mountains hadn't been the best idea, but she thought she knew where she was, so it was fine! 

Still, it couldn't hurt to... there! Yes!  Um, hello!!! Do you, are you from around here?  She called out, spotting a stranger.  When in doubt, ask a local!
