The female is suspicious about his two previous answers and she has right to be. His replies were short and sweet, yet suspicious all in their own. As he replied, a lot was going through his head. Thoughts of the upbringing of his new pack and even thoughts of the paler wolf the walked right beside him. For a moment, he even contemplated taking her to said spot, but he decides it’s a good place to distract himself with her.

At that moment and even now as he guides them to this mysterious place, the brindled male’s mind is muddled with the thoughts of his previous pack. One could say he’s ‘in his feels’. Though, nowadays he tries pushing those thoughts back into the foggy regions of his mind where they don’t bother him — to forget them. Yet it seems he’s still having some trouble.

So even with the gnawing of old ghosts at his memory, an easy smile appears on his maw and his sparkling hues rest on her own as he turns to look at her. “Some place beautiful.” He hums, then his smile quickly becomes more teasing. “Just like you, darling.” He chuckles at the corny sentence even though he means it.

Then as they walk, several minutes by, a healthy forty minutes of walking that is. Until the sound of a rushing waterfall meets their ears and Donovan can’t help but smile. He thinks she’ll like the little surprise.
They come up to the southernmost waterfall on the west set of mountains of Ravensblood Forest. It’s settled in a clearing and instead of turning into a rushing river, the crystal clear, glacial water makes its home in a medium sized lake, or perhaps a large pond. The left over water toppled over rocks into many smaller streams that trickle throughout the forest. Though this is a waterfall, it’s not a fast one. Where the water rushes down from the mountain above it runs over and along many shallows drops of rock, making it look like a stairway to heaven. The waterfall isn’t small either, it’s quite big in fact, but the easy flow of the water makes it tranquil. They’re slow enough that one could comfortably stand beneath one of the drops, making an amazing spot to settle on a hot summer day.

Tonight though, a slight fog rolls over the hills and the sickly blue light of the moon bestows a different look to this waterfall. Tranquil and still awfully beautiful, everything is bathed in the dim lighting of the moon. The usually crystal clear, sometimes even aquamarine water turns blue-white as the moon bathes it in light.

Donovan smiles and briefly looks to watch her reaction before settling his eyes on the waterfall himself. “Beautiful, huh?” He hums back to her.
