His smile remains and his eyes follow her into the water. As she closes in on his personal space and nudges his shoulder, her face is suddenly venomous. Then her words shock him even more. “Did you at least get her to join?” For a moment he feels like he’s been caught with his hand in the cookie jar. Especially when the coldness (well, colder than usual) in her voice settles in.

He couldn’t even make himself mad in such a situation. He genuinely can’t. So a sly smirk comes across his face and as she draws away he inches closer to her. Answering her last question before her first. “Number one, fish.” Then the first. “Number 2, Nope. Building alliances with a neighbor pack though. If you know what I mean.” He winks. “You jealous, darling?” These will probably his last words. For she will probably kill him. He goes as far as to willingly accept any punishment she has in store for him. Only to push his luck even further, he presses against her side and swipes a black tongue across the plume of her scruff — if she allows him that is.
