He misunderstood her words; he had taken them as a general statement. It was true, she did want him dead, but she thought that much was obvious. No. I mean, if we find him, I want to be the one that kills him, she said, her tone growing more angry than she had meant. She wasn't stupid; she knew she wouldn't be able to take him on her own, and she had no intention of trying. But when they did actually search him out, and if they were lucky enough to find him alive, she wanted to be the one to deal the final killing blow. She knew she needed his help and the help of whoever else was willing, but when it came down to ending his life, she wanted to do it. He had hurt Mal's daughter, and she knew the anger it caused for him, so Simmik wasn't sure if he would allow her this. He wanted his revenge too, she was sure.

She could tell Mal expected something different from her, like she was going to go off on her own and search him out. But she wasn't going to do that. She never wanted to be alone with that monster again. She didn't exactly blame him for thinking that either. She hadn't really been herself lately, and she had always had kind of an impulsive nature, especially when angry. But she would wait and plan and make sure she was ready for if the moment ever did come. But with the resolution to wait came the fear that he was still out there. She wondered if he would be able to find his way here or if he even would. You injured him enough that he wouldn't be able to follow you back? she asked, swallowing the lump of fear and nausea rising in her throat. Surely he wasn't stupid enough to come here and stoke the fury of the entire pack, but the thought still settled in her mind and added more weight to the fear that was already there all hours of the day.
