Sasha's blood had since started to dry on Nyra's fur. And though the Paladin was no beauty queen, she felt like bathing to get as much blood out of her stark-white fur as possible. 

And so, she did, spending maybe an hour or so cleaning the red from her pelt and letting it wash away with the current of the river. 

Bath complete, the mammoth Shieldmaiden pulled herself back to the grass, giving herself a thorough shake. 
Then, she tensed. 

Nyra was not alone.
