Penn spotted her as he made his way through the Woods. He'd been debating what to do with his day. Hunting? Exploring the forest? Exploring the world? Nothing was really piquing his interest, so it had been looking like he was going to just take a nap. But then he'd spotted the hot chick, which very much did pique his interest in spite of the whole... she already had a mate... thing.
Penn being Penn, he didn't notice that there was anything melancholy about her. Otherwise, he might've bailed early. He didn't do well with negative emotions, unless it was rage. He loved angry women. Sad women? He didn't know what to do with them except to avoid. But, naively, he went ahead and trotted up alongside her, offering one of his most charming smiles as he looked over at her. "Hi there, packmate," he said, "Fancy seeing you 'round these parts."
