Sleep would not come easy to Lane; she was far too worried and wound up. After what felt like years, Wayfarer began to cry and nurse, and Lane just about cried herself, she was so relieved. 

Her joy would be short lived, as it would only be a few hours before Veteran began showing symptoms, and the song and dance would start again.
