Duskfire Glacier lurk within her gleaming silhouette

Lane was pleased, but not particularly surprised, to hear that Issorartuyok had spoken highly of her. He had a habit of doing that-- perhaps because he sensed Lane's lingering reluctant feelings toward her Alpha rank. 

Lane shook her head in a polite dismissal of Antha's apology. This was what she was here for, after all. She was the pack's ambassador while Issorartuyok was away. 

The sisters wished to join, which also did not come as a surprise to Lane. Why else would they have followed Issorartuyok all the way across the Teekons? Lane gave them a genuine smile and a welcoming wave of her tail. 

"Absolutely. I'm also a medic and a scout," Lane revealed, lifting a brow in good humor. In many packs, that might put them in a somewhat competitive position, but Lane was much more interested in gaining a friend than she was in protecting her role. Since she and Antha had such closely-aligned interested, she thought this boded well for their friendship. 

"Duskfire Glacier was founded as a medic's haven, of sorts. It is part of our pack's history, to shelter medics who study together and learn from one another. It will be nice to have you both here. Maybe it will help us get back to our roots after we move." She waved her tail again.
