Reyson saw the movement and unconsciously mirrored it. He wasn't as young as he once was, but he wasn't yet old. He increased his speed, and his stride, but only slightly. He wanted to win the race, but he didn't want to obliterate this Mahler, it seemed unseeming and unsporting. Sure what should win, but when two did you need to win so largely that it made no sense to even run, no that was the enjoyment. Pushing oneself, holding oneself back. Control.
Reyson wasn't sure where they were running to, but he noticed a tree a little further up. (Not sure if there's a tree there, but creative liberties) he would stop there. Signal that the race was over, unless Mahler wished to go further and then he would.

I will be building Reyson's personality largely in character. So his general personality and mannerisms may change as I learn more about him. I am fine with some plots with him as long as all parties are comfortable and know what is to be expected.
