she can hear the explanation from both, though it does little to sequester the concern and anger she feels. had it not been for the presence of kukutux, shikoba might've nipped at samani's rump in an angry manner, similar to giving a spanking to a child who had done wrong.
but it was not her place to discipline the child of moon woman, so shikoba would know her place. despite her anger, she knows to value kukutux's relationship with herself more than her own feelings. even more so, samani was a good daughter, shikoba knew this. the girl would never hold intentions to harm him, and this is something she must force herself to remember. accidents happen in the scariest ways at times. shikoba knows this firsthand from her own mistakes as a child.
samani would be shielded from unbridled rage in an effort for an adult to behave accordingly. shikoba stays close to her son and watches him carefully, hoping the medicine does take effect. rabbit is not an allergy heavily presented in her bloodlines, but perhaps she ate too much of it during her pregnancy.
either way, it would be a hard life for little mojag as the rabbit was a staple food in times when the deer and elk no longer run.
"thank you, kukutux." she says breathlessly. now she can only fear what else he is allergic to, and what would have happened if moon woman was not here to administer the medicine.
shikoba would keep her son close, for however long it would take until his throat didn't swell and he didn't feel scared. it was in a moment she prayed for inutsuk to be here, to know of his son's allergies and to calm her worried heart.
