Swiftcurrent Creek blank open eyes watch the moonflower bloom

A wave of relief is soon to wash over her, though it is quick to fizzle out due to the unbridled anger that now sits within her stomach. She blows a snort from her nostrils, tongue flicking out from between her lips and running over her upper set of teeth. Arric's laughter makes her want to glare at him, though she refrains, instead opting to let out an inaudible grumble.

I was raised by a guy who knows his way around a battlefield. She shuffles and clears her throat.
