what once is mundane only fills her heart. what a lucky mother she is, to have such a dutiful daughter. surely, shikoba can see bits of herself and her family within the eyes of ajei. "a busy woman," she croons with pride, happy to know that ajei is working and seemingly enjoying it thus far (at least, shikoba could only assume). "there is often comfort in constant work, the smallest of things still mean something to the others here, no?" she only hopes her daughter is cherished her, as she should be everywhere.

the mention of arrluk catches her attention. "are you close with him?" she is thankful her daughter takes smaller steps, or else shikoba would be too out of breath to be able to hold a meaningful conversation.
