soto has his own opinions of fathers, and how drawing leto's might change the landscape of verapaz.

but he is nothing if not resourceful. clever. resilient. leto's father can be put to work minding the cubs and running small errands, while verapaz's ranks swell.

he turns back to beau with a nod. es facil. simple. his single eye flashes as he calculates how long beau will be gone.
