a loud bark springs from her mouth; whoa!

he knows enough of the local dialect to understand sorry meant desculpa. no te preocupes.

she stares, he stares. he takes the opportunity to notice her pelt speaks nothing of other kin. she's not quite as young as the twins he found in the flatlands, but she's equally as skinny.

he flicks an ear as she looks away and inhales deeply.
